A single-panel cartoon shows a bearded man standing on a sandy tropical island with palm trees behind him and a blue sky overhead. He looks up toward a large gray structure at the right edge of the frame, where a rope or ladder hangs down as if part of a rescue. The man appears calm and mildly conflicted rather than desperate. Two speech bubbles read: “While I appreciate the rescue” and “I need one more week on the island.” The comic is signed “MadScott.”

One more week

I know it looks bad here but I'm very comfortable and I have a book I need to finish.

My Life rocks!

A few weeks back I had a break between audio books and I became a listener to The Clockwork Cabaret. It’s got just the right amount of humor and odd ball music to listen to while I drive into work. They had a contest where if you knew where something or other came from likely related to cartoons because that’s all I am likely to have remembered.. something about the Purple Pie Eater as I recall.. Well guess what. I won and you didn’t! clockwork package clockwork_telegram Thanks Clockwork Cabaret!
